Jennifer Morton Matthews is unusual in this day and age, having spent the entirety of her career at Grace, Matthews & Debro. Jennifer joined the firm fresh from Baylor Law School in 1992, and found a firm in which to hone her professional skills both as a litigator, but significantly as a legal writer at the trial and appellate levels. Jennifer, the daughter of a career U.S. Army officer, had the privilege of living in Huntsville during three separate tours. Having graduated from Grissom High School, Jennifer knew Huntsville was her home of choice. She enjoys raising her family and active participation in her local church, and musical organizations.
Jennifer’s practice includes representation of individuals and businesses in personal injury cases, construction, employment, dram shop, premises liability, product liability, professional liability, as well as civil rights litigation, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Wills & Trusts, Business Entities and LLC Planning. Her appellate practice has taken her to both Federal and State Appellate Courts, where she is admitted to practice in all Alabama State Courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Jennifer is pleased to serve as a ghost appellate writer, as well as handling new cases brought to her for appeal following trial.
Jennifer completed her undergraduate studies at Baylor University, earning a B.A. in history in 1990. She entered Baylor Law School the week before her undergraduate graduation and completed her J.D. in August of 1992. Jennifer is a proud Baylor Bears fan, and inactive member of the State Bar of Texas.
