Benjamin A. Byard was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. Growing up on the south side of town, he developed a love for nature through exploring Alrdige Creek and Ditto’s Landing near his home. Ben attended Whitesburg Christian Academy for both his elementary and high school education, which he graduated from in 2017. He then attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Computer Engineering in 2021. Ben then went to attend Samford Univeristy’s Cumberland School of law, which he graduated from in 2024. While at Cumberland, Ben was named to the Dean’s List multiple semesters and was an active editor for Cumberland’s American Journal of Trial Advocacy. He was also very involved in Cumberland’s Intellectual Property Group, serving as Patent Chair and participating in the Patent Drafting Competition. In his first year after graduating, Ben clerked for the Honorable Claude E. Hundley of the 23rd Judicial Circuit of Alabama. Once his clerkship was finished, Ben joined the firm and practices with a focus on insurance defense litigation.
Outside of the office, you can find Ben watching a good movie, planning his next travel destination, or playing games with his friends. Ben also enjoys spending time with his church community and camping at parks all across America.
